Trauma and diseases of peripheral nerves in the upper extremity can cause significant disability and affect not only a patient’s ability to function, but their sense of well-being. It is therefore of utmost importance to carefully evaluate these neuropathies and choose a treatment method that will provide optimal results. This full-day course will focus on the diagnosis and treatment options for various traumatic and non-traumatic neurologic conditions. The lectures will include not only the commonly utilized options, but also new diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. There will be ample opportunity for the participants to discuss the merits and pitfalls of widely available techniques, as well as the potential of novel techniques.

This Online Consultation Corner focuses upon evaluation and treatment of distal radius fractures. Although these injuries are commonly seen and treated by hand surgeons, challenges exist in diagnosis and optimal management of concurrent pathology, specific difficult fracture patterns and concomitant bone metabolic disease. This online consultation corner will feature experienced faculty sharing insights into management of these injuries, with a focus on evaluation and treatment strategies. A case-based format and panel discussion format will facilitate your understanding of these injuries!

Describe radiographic clues to concurrent injuries such as DRUJ instability, SL injury
List treatment options for comminuted osteoporotic fractures
Describe appropriate workup for fragility fractures
